What is the Respite Exchange Program?
The Respite Exchange Program is designed to collect the names and general information of willing respite providers in order to help families seeking respite be matched with a provider that would best meet the needs of the children in care.
This program is in place for families who need either traditional or emergency respite for their children. CMFCAA works with area respite providers to help match families in need with providers in a quick, time-efficient manner. All CMFCAA respite providers are licensed by the state and have completed full background screenings.
Please note that traditional respite is eligible to receive compensation from the state. CMFCAA does not provide any financial compensation for respite reimbursement. CMFCAA does not report respite units used for reimbursement from the State. The families and providers are responsible for state reimbursement communication.
If you are in need of respite care, contact CMFCAA and we will match you with available families who can provide you respite care.
